Review of B-Boy Funk by Blunked

    By remote viewer | September 5, 2008

    Breaking The Joint Up

And this is how to do it. At once both disjointed and fluid with a spaced out feel that lends an air of expectancy to the proceedings. You know in art they tell you to draw the spaces between objects, well that’s what you do here also - listen to the spaces between the sounds. They are what make this track special. An electric piano is caught in a revolving door while the funky drummer gets wicked. Some may find this a difficult sound, but it’s a difficulty worth bearing, stick with it, the rewards are one banging tune that’s going to stand out from the rest. In an ocean of conformity B-Boy Funk is an island of cranked up, laid back individuality.
