Review: It Works (Original Version) by Mossy on Piston Recordings
By David Abutbul | August 21, 2008

When the sun rises, you get a feeling that you can’t really simulate or fake, as hard as you try, Mossy are getting real close with their newest release It Works, it really does. A progressive house track that shamelessly makes you want to spread your wings and jump off the highest roof-top you will find next to the club. I do have to give out a warning, DONT DO IT. This track gives you a very airy, breezy feeling with pads that carry a beautiful synth-line to a semi-commercial feeling. All compressed up and side-chained beautifully into a break that sounds like it wouldn’t let down a scoring for an Oscar winner’s love scene.
Don’t be mislead, I do believe this track is of a great potential but it has to be in the right hands as well, played not in the right part of the set this track might miss its target. For me it goes as a down hill from a banging tune, I have not heard many downhill tracks that create more excitement on the floor then the peak track, but this is one of them, amazing progression packed in flying colors. Enjoy!
