Review: Epicenter by System Check on Body Rhythm Black

    By David Abutbul | August 26, 2008

Tech house is a genre that houses fans from the various genres of techno to lo-fi not neglecting even the enthusiasts of minimal at times. Some people play their tech house in context of progressive house and melodic waves that ride into and out of monotonic vibes. This track was made especially with those DJs in mind.
One of the most addictive tech house tracks I have recently heard is Epicenter by System check. It builds up quite housy with a huge gliding baseline breaking into some bit mashed action and a steady groove of metal drums/bells and than later solos to an amazing break of 8bit melody with a new buildup. Regardless of what I just described this track actually sounds good and words seem to do it only wrong. I suggest you get it and play it as hard as you can, don’t forget to put some emphasis on the gliding baseline as I believe it was a bit lost in the mix.
