Review: After the drought by Ross Couch on Body Rhythm Black
By Jack Silky | August 27, 2008
What a release on the new sub-label of Ross Couch, Body Rhythm Black! Ross Couch aka System Check(his moniker for his Body Rhythm Black releases) explors the deeper side of house music and creates a techy but highly enjoyable groove. The tension is build up by an electronic somewhat nasty synth but never breaks with the deep atmosphere Ross creates here. With ‘Playin Jazz’ still in mind, Ross Couch proves once again what a talented producer he is.According to me, with ‘After the drought’ Ross Couch has succeeded in telling us what kind of sound to expect on his new sub-label Body Rhythm Black.
